A common reporting requirement is to view data by fiscal period — last fiscal year, last fiscal quarter, etc. This can be added to the filter options for date fields in ServiceNow for any table.
- If the instance doesn’t already have it, install the Fiscal Calendar plugin (com.snc.fiscal_calendar).
- If the instance doesn’t already have a fiscal calendar, generate one using Fiscal Calendar > Generate
- Go to Calendars for Package and create records for the calendars and scope of the application you want to show filters for. For example, you can add Fiscal Quarter to the Human Resources:Core. Note that applications in the Global scope have their own packages, for example Incident.
